Messianic Jews-Natsarenes
It is important to understand the meaning of the words "Messianic Jews" and "Natsarenes".
Messianic
The term refers to any person in this world who has chosen by their own freewill to follow the footsteps of our Master Yehoshua the Messiah who is the saviour of people. The gospel of Luke says "Because there was born to you today in the city of David a Saviour, who is Messiah, the Master" (Luke 2:11). The Aramaic translation of Luke 2:11 reads "For born to you all today is the Savior that is Master YHWH the Mashiyach in the city of Dawid". Yehoshua means Yehowah is Salvation.
Jew
The term Jew (Yehudah in Hebrew) refers to a person who follows the Hebrew roots of their forefathers namely, Father Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Yehoshua the Messiah was a Jew. Hence, a person who follows God (Elohim) and walks in his footsteps is considered a Jew in the eyes of God (Elohim) (Romans 2:29). Matthew Chapter 2:2 says about Yehoshua "Where is He who has been born Sovereign of the Yehudim" (in the English bibles it reads as "Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews").
Natsarenes
The prophets of Elohim prophesied that "He shall be called a Natsarene" (Matthew 2:23). The term also refers to an assembly of people who are the followers of Yehoshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ). Apostle Paul was the guide of this assembly during his time when he led many people to follow Yehoshua the Messiah. Acts chapter 24:5 reads "and a ringleader of the sect of the Natsarenes" (in the English bibles it reads as "We have found this man to be a troublemaker, stirring up riots among the Jews all over the world. He is a ringleader of the Nazarene sect"). It is important to note that the term Natsarenes takes its usage from the word "Netzer" which in English means Sprout. Isaiah 11:1 states "And a Rod shall come forth from the stump of Yishai, and a Sprout from his roots shall be fruitful". Netzer is the word commonly used for Netzarim or Natsarenes. When Isaiah wrote of the "Netzer", in Isaiah 11:1 the city of Nazareth did not exist. The Christian world understands that Jesus Christ was a "Nazarene" because He came from the city of Nazareth (Jesus of Nazareth). But the term "Netzer" speaks of the qualities of the Messiah, not about where He lived.
"No man is to have dominion (rulership) over another's faith". This is unfortunately seen in all religious institutions and with religious fanatics where religious people rule over men. We hope your interest in our website could assist you in developing your relationship with the true Elohim our Master Yehoshua the Messiah.
Are you interested in celebrating the feasts/festivals of God (Elohim)? Such as the Feast of Purim, Pesah (Passover), Feast of the Unleavened Bread, Feast of Weeks or Pentecost, Day of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles, The last Great Day and Hanukkah. We do come together for these events depending on the nature of the feasts/festivals and on the number of people who want to attend.
We would suggest that you become friends with us on our Facebook page to know about these events if we do get together. As most of these festivals/feasts are "appointed times" as per the scriptures we do get together with "people who are like minded". For example, we will not invite someone who does not believe Yehoshua the Messiah is God (YHWH, Yehowah) or someone who does not want to keep the instructions and laws (Torah) of God because he or she finds them burdensome or hard to follow. When we come together for fellowship we rejoice in the word of God (Elohim).
The scripture clearly tells us "Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). Yehoshua the Messiah said "because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed which leads to life, and there are few who find it" (Matthew 7: 14).
